Job summary

Pick n Pay in Cape Town seeks a Senior BI Analyst to deliver high-quality BI solutions that empower data-driven decisions across the organisation.

You will partner with Data Product Owners, Data Analysts and Data Engineering to design dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.

The role requires 6+ years BI experience, strong SQL, data warehouse exposure, and an understanding of retail dynamics within an agile delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years’ experience in a BI Developer, BI Analyst, or Visualization Developer role.
• Proven experience delivering production BI dashboards and reports for business users.
• Hands-on experience with modern BI tools (Power BI, Pyramid, Business Objects, Tableau).
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, SAP BW).
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying large datasets.
• Experience with data warehouses and curated analytical datasets.
• Good understanding of data visualization principles and UX best practices.
• Understanding of Retail is advantageous.
• Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks.
