CCG Systems is an ICT sector and is well known to specialize in the implementation and support of ERP systems as well as Payroll & HR Systems to which our clients are made of mostly Municipalities throughout South Africa. Our company is looking for a potential candidate to join our Data Analytics team in the capacity of a BI & Solutions Team Lead, to be based at our Head Office.
The BI & Solutions Team Lead is a senior role responsible for providing operational, technical, and team leadership across the Business Intelligence (BI), reporting, and data analytics function. The position is responsible for ensuring that BI and reporting solutions are appropriately scoped, designed, developed, quality assured, implemented, and delivered in line with business and client requirements.

The role provides technical direction and guidance to BI developers and analysts, overseeing the end-to-end delivery lifecycle from requirements analysis and solution specification through to development, testing, deployment, and handover. The incumbent is expected to ensure that appropriate development standards, solution architecture, data modelling, reporting practices, quality assurance processes, and delivery governance are consistently applied across reporting projects.

The BI & Solutions Team Lead is also responsible for Finance Management activities relating to BI and reporting projects. This includes supporting project scoping and effort estimation, providing commercial inputs, monitoring delivery effort and resource utilisation against agreed scope, and assisting with pricing, quotations, and tender solution inputs where required.

Under Business Process Management, the role oversees the complete BI delivery lifecycle and ensures that projects are effectively prioritised and delivered. This includes requirements analysis, development specifications, solution architecture, report and data-model development oversight, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and handover. The role is responsible for driving delivery standards, resolving issues, improving processes, and promoting continuous improvement across reporting projects.

The position also has significant responsibility for Learning and Development (Staffing). The incumbent provides day-to-day technical and operational guidance to BI developers and analysts, allocates and reviews work, mentors team members, promotes development standards and knowledge sharing, and supports employee skills development, performance, and delivery accountability.

In addition, the BI & Solutions Team Lead is responsible for Client and Vendor Management, acting as a senior point of engagement for clients, internal stakeholders, and relevant technology or service partners. The role leads requirements and solution discussions, provides demonstrations and progress updates, manages stakeholder expectations, and assists with resolving delivery matters. The incumbent may also represent CCG Systems at client presentations, workshops, exhibitions, industry engagements, and other public-speaking opportunities where required.

The role requires strong knowledge of Business Intelligence and management reporting, Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modelling, reporting architecture, data integration, and reporting platforms, together with the ability to translate business requirements into practical reporting solutions and communicate technical concepts effectively to clients and broader audiences.

Overall, the BI & Solutions Team Lead combines technical expertise, people leadership, project delivery, financial awareness, business process management, and client relationship management to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality BI and reporting solutions while supporting the development and performance of the BI team.
