Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead and deliver complex civil infrastructure projects in East London, Eastern Cape. You will oversee design review, construction supervision, quality control, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring budgets and schedules are met. The ideal candidate has a BEng in Civil Engineering, Pr.

Eng. with ECSA, and at least 8 years of progressive experience on infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA.
Minimum 8 years of progressive infrastructure project experience.
Experience with infrastructure projects in East London or Eastern Cape.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage technical execution of infrastructure projects from planning to completion.
Review and approve engineering designs and construction drawings.
Supervise site construction activities ensuring quality and safety compliance.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants and authorities.
Control costs and schedules, identify risks and mitigation measures.
Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
Resolve technical queries and site challenges.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
Prepare project reports and financial summaries.
Mentor junior engineering staff and foster teamwork.
