Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Project Engineer to oversee capital projects in a chemical production setting. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, budgeting, and successful execution of plant expansions and equipment installations.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with contractors, and ensure projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years of project management experience in chemical plant or related industrial environment.
• Proven track record delivering complex capital projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management software and methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with process equipment design, installation, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of capital projects for chemical plant operations.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring work is performed safely and to specifications.
• Oversee the procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
