Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a driven Project Chemical Engineer to manage and execute capital projects at their Klerksdorp facility. You will oversee the full lifecycle from concept through commissioning, coordinating stakeholders, budgets, and timelines.

The role requires a BEng/BSc in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of project engineering experience, strong PM skills, and experience with P&IDs and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of project engineering/management experience.
• Proven ability to deliver capital projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of new process equipment.
• Develop project scopes, designs, and cost estimates.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and schedules for senior management.
