Key Responsibilities

Define, plan, and execute a multi-faceted business transformation programme, ensuring strategic alignment and successful delivery. Oversee and manage a portfolio of interconnected projects, ensuring synergy and interdependencies are effectively handled. Develop and manage programme-level budgets, financial forecasts, and resource allocation across all constituent projects. Lead and mentor a team of project managers and cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Manage risks, issues, and dependencies at the programme level, developing and implementing mitigation strategies. Establish and maintain robust governance structures and reporting mechanisms for the programme. Engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership, board members, and key external partners. Drive change management initiatives across the organization, ensuring buy-in and adoption of new strategies and processes. Ensure the programme delivers tangible business benefits and achieves its intended strategic objectives.

Requirements

Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in programme or portfolio management, with a strong emphasis on business transformation. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex programmes with significant organizational impact. Demonstrated experience managing budgets exceeding R20 million and leading diverse teams of 20+ individuals. Expertise in programme management methodologies (e.g., MoP, MSP) and familiarity with Agile/Waterfall approaches. Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and decision-making capabilities. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at the highest levels. Strong understanding of financial management and business case development. PgMP (Program Management Professional) or equivalent certification is essential.
