Placements24, on behalf of a rapidly growing FinTech, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the development and strategy for a core digital banking platform based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will define vision, strategy, and roadmap, translating market needs into innovative features.

This role blends technical understanding, market insight, and strong leadership to drive product success. It offers a Hybrid work model with Mossel Bay office and remote opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• An MBA or relevant Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on digital products, preferably within FinTech or banking.
• Proven experience in defining product strategy, roadmaps, and launching successful digital products.
• Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with engineering and design teams to deliver complex technical solutions.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and user-centered design.
• Passion for financial technology and innovation.
• Experience in the Western Cape business environment is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital banking solutions.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify product opportunities.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and product specifications.
• Prioritize the product backlog and manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product delivery.
• Define and track key product metrics (KPIs) to measure product performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather feedback and ensure alignment on product goals.
• Manage the go-to-market strategy for new product features and releases.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the FinTech and digital banking space.
• Champion the product vision and evangelize its value proposition internally and externally.
