Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams throughout the development cycle.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product concepts.
• Manage product development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality objectives.
• Oversee the transition of new products from development to full-scale manufacturing.
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related design/engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in product development, design engineering, or a related role.
• Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong project management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, essential for collaboration within the East London, Eastern Cape region.
• Experience with materials science and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
