Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer based in South Africa. You will own core product surfaces from concept through production, combining product design judgment with design engineering to ship accessible, production-ready frontend components.

You'll work across design systems, frontend engineering, and interaction design, building reusable primitives, contributing to an open-source component library, and collaborating asynchronously in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a product designer with design engineering ownership.
• Ability to independently turn concepts into production-ready frontend implementations.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems.
• Strong written communication and remote collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Own core product surfaces from concept through production.
• Translate problems into high-quality designs and production-ready components.
• Build prototypes using AI-assisted development tools.
• Deliver components usable by product engineers with accessibility.
• Maintain and improve the shared component library.
• Ensure consistency across tokens, spacing, dark mode, motion.
• Apply motion thoughtfully to improve interactions.
• Own outcomes and measure success criteria.
• Maintain high accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with product/design leadership and incorporate feedback.
• Document design thinking for asynchronous collaboration.
