Job summary

Jobgether SRL is partnering with a dynamic early‑stage team in South Africa to recruit a Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer. You will own backend development, infrastructure, and high‑impact features from concept to launch, collaborating closely with the Tech Lead to shape architecture and technical direction.

You will build scalable backend services with Node.js/TypeScript, contribute to frontend using React/Next.js when needed, and push AI‑native tooling and workflows across the stack.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend/full-stack experience with a strong backend focus.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, building production-grade apps.
• Frontend experience with React or Next.js and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, REST API design, and performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in automated testing (unit/integration/e2e).
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of product features from ideation to release and analysis.
• Research market trends, analyze competitors, and propose new features to boost growth.
• Build and maintain backend services with Node.js/TypeScript; contribute to frontend when needed.
• Collaborate on architecture and technical direction with the Tech Lead.
• Design and evolve cloud infrastructure for reliability, performance, and security.
• Develop an AI-native environment enabling AI agents and agentic coding workflows.
• Establish and improve engineering practices, including automated testing and CI/CD.
• Own technical initiatives and drive quality and efficiency across product development.
