Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Process Operator to join a beneficiation plant team in Upington. You will operate and monitor crushers, screens, mills, flotation cells, and filters to ensure optimal mineral recovery and product quality.

You will uphold safety, environmental standards, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to process improvements, with training opportunities and accommodation support available in a demanding industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification (NQF level 3 or 4 in Mining or Mineral Processing Operations) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Operator in a mineral beneficiation or chemical processing plant.
• Proven ability to operate and monitor complex processing equipment.
• Strong understanding of mineral processing principles, particularly flotation and gravity separation.
• Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor processing plant equipment, including crushers, screens, mills, flotation cells, and filters.
• Ensure adherence to all operational procedures, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
• Control and adjust process parameters to optimize mineral recovery and meet product specifications.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on plant equipment.
• Identify and report any operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors.
