Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer for its Randburg, Gauteng operations. You will optimize and maintain diverse chemical production processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive safety, efficiency, and quality improvements.

The role requires a solid chemical engineering background, 4+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, and proficiency with process simulation tools. Willingness to commute or relocate within Gauteng is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in process engineering in chemical manufacturing, preferably specialty chemicals.
• Solid understanding of unit operations, reaction engineering, and thermodynamics.
• Experience with process simulation software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring product quality.
• Implement process changes to enhance efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain PFDs and P&IDs.
• Ensure compliance with SHE regulations.
• Participate in PHAs and implement recommendations.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality control teams.
• Assist in scale-up of new processes and products from lab/pilot to commercial scale.
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and operating procedures.
• Support implementation of process control strategies and automation initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
