Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of reaction engineering, thermodynamics and separation processes.
• Experience with process monitoring and control systems (DCS/SCADA).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the chemical industry.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis.
• Experience in specialty chemicals production is an advantage.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Randburg or commutable distances.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and control chemical processes to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Troubleshoot process upsets and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
• Participate in design and implementation of process improvements and debottlenecking projects.
• Ensure adherence to SHE regulations and company policies.
• Develop and update SOPs for production processes.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure products meet specifications.
• Assist in PHAs and risk assessments.
• Train and mentor junior operators and technicians on process operations and safety.
• Manage small-scale capital projects related to production improvements.
