Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our Midrand, Gauteng office with a hybrid work model. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing renewable energy processes, driving efficiency and sustainability across solar, wind, and biomass projects.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years in process engineering within the energy sector, and a strong grasp of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in process engineering in the energy sector.
• Proven experience with renewable energy technologies and their related processes.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize process designs for renewable energy systems (solar, wind, biomass).
• Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic analyses for new energy projects.
• Oversee implementation and commissioning of new processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, operations, project management).
• Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in energy technology and process engineering.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively for assigned tasks.
