Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join a remote-first manufacturing innovator. You will optimize processes across multiple production lines, drive efficiency, and ensure quality from your home office.

You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams, apply SPC, DOE, and Lean/Six Sigma, develop SOPs and control strategies, mentor junior engineers, and stay at the forefront of new manufacturing technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and 7+ years of manufacturing process engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality.
• Conduct thorough process analyses, identify improvements, and design solutions using statistical methods and simulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering and production teams to translate new designs into scalable processes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, P&IDs and control strategies.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, perform root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor process performance using KPIs and lead continuous improvements (Lean, Six Sigma).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, with a strong emphasis on process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL) and data analysis tools.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing principles and equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with remote teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting.
