Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA . This role is crucial for optimizing and designing process systems within the Oil & Gas sector. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of complex chemical and physical processes. This position offers a hybrid work model, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration at our Upington facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to innovation in process engineering. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet project objectives and operational demands. We are looking for a motivated professional who can contribute to the continuous improvement of our client's operations and uphold the highest industry standards. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the successful execution of projects and the ongoing performance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Conduct process simulations and modeling using industry-standard software.
• Perform process equipment design and specification, including pumps, heat exchangers, and reactors.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians on project execution.
• Develop and review operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Participate in process hazard analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP studies.
• Provide technical support for plant operations and commissioning activities.

Requirements
