About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and troubleshooting gold extraction processes, driving improvements in efficiency, recovery rates, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with plant operations, metallurgy, and maintenance teams to ensure the plant achieves its production and quality objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Optimize existing gold recovery processes (e.g., cyanidation, carbon-in-pulp, electrowinning) to maximize yield and minimize losses.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions to enhance plant performance.
• Conduct process simulations, mass balance calculations, and pilot plant studies.
• Develop and implement process improvements and modifications, including equipment upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations in process operations.
• Collaborate with the metallurgy team on process development and characterization of ore bodies.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and operations personnel.
• Monitor key process indicators and prepare detailed performance reports for management.

Requirements

• BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering within the gold mining and processing industry.

• Proven experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and project implementation.
