Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our gold recovery operations near Benoni, Gauteng. The role focuses on optimizing cyanidation, carbon-in-pulp, and electrowinning processes to maximize recovery and minimize losses.

You will collaborate with metallurgy and maintenance teams to drive performance improvements. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in mining process engineering, expertise in gold extraction metallurgy, and proficiency with METSIM and HSC Chemistry.

Formación

• Minimum 6 years of experience in process engineering within mining and metals.
• Strong knowledge of gold extraction metallurgy and related chemical processes.
• Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis tools.

Responsabilidades

• Optimize existing gold recovery processes (cyanidation, carbon-in-pulp, electrowinning) to maximize yield.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to enhance plant performance.
• Conduct process simulations, mass balance calculations, and pilot plant studies.
• Develop and implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
