Formación

• Master's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Pr. Eng. designation is advantageous.
• 7+ years in process engineering within energy/chemical sectors.
• Proven track record in optimizing industrial processes.

Responsabilidades

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize existing energy production and processing operations to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
• Develop and implement process improvements, focusing on energy conservation, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Design and troubleshoot complex process systems, including thermal, fluid, and chemical operations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for proposed process modifications and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain process P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and operational manuals.
• Provide technical support and guidance to plant operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Lead process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports on operational performance.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in energy process engineering.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) designation is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on the energy or chemical processing industries.
• Proven track record of successfully optimizing industrial processes and implementing significant improvements.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles.
• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD) is essential.
• Proficiency in P&ID development, HAZOP studies, and LOPA.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a remote setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
