Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced Control & Automation professional to coordinate and control manufacturing system activities across multiple plants in South Africa.

You will analyse C&A environments, develop standards, and lead projects to ensure uptime, reliability and alignment with IT standards.

The role requires a BSc Engineering (Electronics) or BTech Electrical (Light Current), at least 5 years in C&A, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• BSc Engineering (Electronics) or BTech Electrical Engineering (Light Current).
• 5+ years in C&A operational or project role or system integration.
• 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Understanding of PLCs, networks, and manufacturing applications.
• Experience with Wonderware ArchestrA and InTouch SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control C&A activities across multiple plants to ensure stability and reliability.
• Develop standardised processes and procedures with operational leads.
• Lead automation projects ensuring delivery within budget and timelines.
• Engage BIS/ISIT teams for stakeholder engagement and alignment with IT standards.
