Job summary

impact.com is seeking a senior QA Platform Engineer to own the multi-quarter technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the QA platform in Cape Town. You will translate unclear quality problems into clear technical direction and drive decisions on build vs. buy vs. adopt.

You will also write code, prototype critical components, and own production reliability, security, and cost. Mentoring engineers and defining high standards for AI-assisted testing will be key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record setting technical direction across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-quarter technical vision, architecture and roadmap for the QA platform.
• Write code and prototype the hardest parts yourself, especially where the risk is high.
• Define quality standards and mentor engineers across QA Enablement and the QA chapter.
