Qualifications

• National Diploma in Operations Management, Technology Management, Engineering, or Production Management.
• Minimum of 5 years’ quality background within the automotive industry.
• Minimum of 10 years’ Press Shop experience, including high-tonnage press technology for car body surface and structural components.
• Minimum of 10 years’ supervisory experience in the Tier 1 automotive industry.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in tool and jig manufacturing or maintenance.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engaging and managing a demanding OEM customer.
• Knowledge of new project management, particularly tool approval and commissioning processes.
• Demonstrated experience in core operational roles (Planning, Logistics, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Process Engineering).
• A lean mindset with focus on efficiency improvements.
• Must have management of an org. structure that consists of multi-tiers, across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the operational management of Plant 2 as a satellite plant to Plant 1.
• Manage all production functions to ensure targets are met in line with safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Manage all support functions to achieve safety, quality, production, and cost targets.
• Drive shop-floor management routines that are key success factors in a press shop.
• Ensure that adequate resources are available.
• Manage the performance of subordinates.
