Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive power flow, stability, and short-circuit analyses for transmission and distribution systems using industry-standard software.
• Model and assess the impact of renewable energy sources (solar, wind), energy storage systems, and electric vehicles on grid performance and reliability.
• Develop and validate power system models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with grid codes and industry standards.
• Conduct studies related to grid congestion, voltage stability, frequency control, and system protection.
• Provide expert technical recommendations for grid upgrades, system planning, and the integration of emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with utility engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to share findings and drive strategic grid modernization efforts.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in power system analysis, planning, or operations.
• Expert proficiency in power system simulation software such as PSS/E, ETAP, PowerWorld, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• In-depth understanding of power system dynamics, transient stability, and grid integration challenges.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, smart grid concepts, and energy storage systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, critical for effective remote collaboration and reporting.
