SQ72 is looking for an experienced Software Tester with a strong Point of Sale (POS) testing background to join our growing team. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for quality, and have walked the floor with POS systems — we want to hear from you.

As a Software Tester at SQ72, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our POS and related software solutions. You'll work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to design, execute, and document test cases across a range of projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for POS systems
• Test end-to-end transaction flows, payment integrations, and reconciliation processes
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Contribute to test strategy, planning, and continuous improvement
• Produce clear, detailed test documentation and reports

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on software testing experience
• Proven experience testing Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Bachelor's degree (IT, Computer Science, or related field)
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification (essential)
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and SDLC
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Finance / financial services background or domain knowledge
• Test automation experience (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps)
