Placements24 is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our investment team. This fully remote role lets you manage client portfolios from anywhere in South Africa, developing strategies and conducting market research.

You will work with analysts and traders to optimize performance while maintaining compliance and client communication. The ideal candidate has a finance degree, CFA preferred, and 7+ years of portfolio management or analysis experience, with strong skills in modeling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• CFA designation is highly preferred.
• 7+ years in portfolio management or investment analysis.
• Proven track record of managing portfolios and achieving benchmarks.
• Strong knowledge of equities, fixed income, alternatives, and investment strategies.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with client objectives and risk profiles.
• Manage and monitor client portfolios, making adjustments to optimize performance.
• Conduct fundamental and technical analysis of securities and markets.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities across asset classes.
• Keep abreast of macroeconomic trends and their impact on investments.
• Maintain client relationships with regular performance updates and advice.
• Collaborate with research analysts and traders to inform decisions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Prepare investment reports and presentations for clients and management.
