Placements24 is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to lead and manage investment portfolios from the Soweto, Gauteng, ZA office. The role involves developing and implementing investment strategies aligned with client objectives and market opportunities, making key decisions, managing risk, and ensuring portfolio performance.

This is a permanent, on-site position. You will oversee strategy development, asset allocation, and performance monitoring while mentoring junior staff and ensuring

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• CFA designation is mandatory for this role.
• Minimum 10 years of portfolio management or investment analysis experience in asset management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage investment strategies for various portfolio mandates.
• Conduct in-depth market research, economic analysis and security selection.
• Make strategic asset allocation decisions and manage portfolio risk.
• Monitor portfolio performance, analyze deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate investment strategies and performance updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with research analysts, traders, and other investment professionals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the investment team.
• Identify and capitalize on investment opportunities across asset classes.
