Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major marine and coastal development projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will oversee feasibility, design, construction, commissioning, and handover, with close site supervision.

The role requires deep marine/civil expertise, budget discipline, and coordination of engineers, contractors, and environmental specialists. On-site presence in Mossel Bay is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in project management with marine/civil/coastal focus.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Marine Engineering.
• PMP or similar certification is highly advantageous.
• Experience managing large budgets and complex logistics in a marine environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of marine and coastal development projects from feasibility to handover.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and risk mitigation.
• Manage project finances with strict cost control.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental specialists, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with maritime, environmental, safety, and building regulations.
• Oversee procurement, contracts, and vendor management.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings.
• Engage with government agencies, port authorities, communities, and clients.
• Identify and resolve project risks and issues.
• Prepare status reports and final evaluations.
