Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd in Western Cape invites an experienced professional to join the Nuclear Analysis and Siting team at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station. The role focuses on providing scientific and technical support, assurance and investigations to ensure radiological and nuclear safety, with responsibilities across standards, compliance, and research.

You will lead and participate in forums, approve technical standards, and work within regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• BSc Honours Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Physics/Mathematics/Applied Radiation Sciences and Technology/Engineering Sciences at NQF8 with 480 credits
• 4 years’ related experience in Radiation Protection functions including ALARA, dosimetry, effluent management, radwaste management, plant systems, emergency response and reactor physics
• Professional registration with SACNASP

• Ensure compliance with relevant scientific, technical and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct research into new technologies and commission new complex products, equipment, material and services.

Professional Registration

• Professional registration with South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP)
