Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd in Cape Town (Western Cape) is seeking a technically skilled engineer to develop and support technology strategies, standards and designs within the Independent Safety and Evaluation Department (ISED) at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station.

The role requires a BSc/BEng in Engineering (NQF8, 480 credits), 4 years of relevant experience, and professional registration with ECSA. This permanent position focuses on engineering design, problem solving and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Engineering at NQF8 is required.
• 4 years of relevant technical engineering experience or equivalent.
• Registered as a professional engineer with ECSA is preferred or essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting, investigation and support services to customers.
• Produce and integrate asset creation engineering solutions and designs.
• Act as liaison engineer across disciplines and projects.
• Develop discipline-specific philosophies, standards, procedures and work practices.
• Contribute to roadmaps and participate in national/international technical forums.
• Manage product, equipment, material, service development and technical change management.
• Contribute to development of engineers in specified disciplines.
