Job summary

Curro Helderwyk in Brakpan seeks a Robotics Teacher (Senior Phase) to join as a full-time educator starting January 2027. The role involves teaching and coordinating FET-phase subjects, delivering knowledge transfer and fostering positive learner attitudes through integrated teaching approaches.

Qualifications include a BEd and/or PGCE in FET phase education, with honours advantageous; minimum 3 years’ FET teaching experience and knowledge of the IEB curriculum are required.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and coordinating a range of subjects per the Curro curriculum for the FET phase.
• Plan lessons using modern-day tools and processes; set up workbooks and measure academic progress.
• Set up term plans, monitor exams and provide differentiating learning materials.
• Manage classroom, assessments and homework; coordinate moderation, revision and catch-up programmes.
• Plan extramural activities and provide one-on-one tutoring as needed.
