Job summary

Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is inviting a Pharmacy Technician to join the Medicines Information (MI) team within the Pharmacy Department. The role supports a high-quality medicines information service for healthcare professionals across NHS Grampian, NHS Shetland and NHS Orkney.

You will provide teaching and training to local pharmacy staff, undertake a ward-based clinical duty, respond to medicines-related enquiries and aid in developing guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacy technician with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Desire to provide a high quality, safe and efficient medicines information service.
• Willingness to undertake MIATP training if not completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide medicines information to healthcare professionals across NHS Grampian, NHS Shetland and NHS Orkney.
• Lead teaching and training for local pharmacy teams.
• Support development of guidelines and policies and perform ward-based clinical duties.
