Job summary

NHS Grampian in Scotland is seeking a ward technician to support the clinical pharmacist team, providing high-level assistance with dispensing and supply management.

You will assess and check patients' own supplies, order items, answer supply queries, and help organise prescriptions and discharge supplies. You will also train and supervise less experienced technicians and assistants, working closely with pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Registered technicians with suitable relevant experience.
• An accuracy checking technician (ACT) qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level support to the clinical pharmacists as part of the ward technician team.
• Assess and check patients' own supply, order items and deal with supply queries.
• Assist in organising prescriptions and supply for discharge.
