Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for a results-oriented Senior Petroleum Engineer specializing in production optimization to join their team in Port Elizabeth. This role is critical for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from existing fields through the application of advanced engineering principles and technologies. You will analyze production performance, identify opportunities for enhancement, and implement strategies to improve well and field efficiency. This hybrid position offers a blend of hands-on field interaction and analytical office-based work, contributing directly to the company's operational success in the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze well performance data to identify opportunities for artificial lift optimization, workovers, and recompletions.

Requirements

Proficiency in production analysis software and techniques.
Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles and their impact on production.
