Placements24 is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer for its Petrochemical Projects division in Polokwane. You will contribute to design, execution, and commissioning of large-scale facilities, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with at least 10 years in project engineering within petrochemical or refining sectors, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of process design and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering, petrochemical or refining industries.
• Experience in process design, simulation, and P&ID development.
• Knowledge of API and ASME codes and safety standards.
• Experience managing technical aspects of project execution.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in conceptual design and FEED stages of petrochemical projects.
• Develop process designs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications for unit operations.
• Conduct process simulations and evaluations for new installations and revamps.
• Support procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of projects.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
