Placements24 invites a Senior Outdoor Recreation Coordinator to design, implement, and manage diverse outdoor programs across the Upington region in the Northern Cape. You will lead a team of recreation instructors, oversee budgets, and partner with local tourism boards to promote the area while ensuring safety and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Outdoor Education, Tourism Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating outdoor recreation programs, with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is mandatory; advanced wilderness certifications are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive schedule of outdoor recreation programs and activities.
• Ensure safety protocols and risk management plans for all participants.
• Lead and supervise a team of recreation instructors and guides with training and feedback.
• Manage program budgets, resource allocation, expenditure tracking, and reporting.
• Collaborate with local tourism boards, community groups, and government agencies to promote opportunities.
• Organize specialized outdoor excursions such as hiking, camping, birdwatching, and cultural tours.
