Job summary

EnableSA is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Cape Town project. You will supervise daily on-site construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications.

You will enforce safety, manage labour and materials, liaise with engineers and inspectors, and provide progress updates to the Site/Project Manager. A trade qualification and 5–10 years in construction, including 3–5 years in supervisory roles, are required.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or construction-related qualification is required.
• 5–10 years of construction experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/foreman role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, artisans and labour teams.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications.
• Allocate tasks and monitor productivity on site.
• Enforce OHSA and Construction Regulations compliance.
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
• Ensure proper use of PPE on site.
• Report and investigate incidents and near-misses.
• Monitor workmanship to meet SANS standards and project specs.
• Identify and rectify defects promptly.
• Liaise with engineers and inspectors on quality issues.
• Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
• Check deliveries against orders and specs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper use.
• Maintain daily site diaries and progress reports.
• Record labour attendance and timesheets.
• Provide regular progress updates to Site/Project Manager.
• Assist with planning and scheduling activities.
