Job summary

Bidvest Facilities Management in Gauteng seeks a Space Planning Architect/Interior Designer to develop space planning drawings within budget and ensure compliance with standards. You will maintain layout plans for multiple floors and engage with client staff to determine space needs.

Role requires a Diploma/degree in Architecture or Interior Design, registration advantage, and 3 years of relevant experience; proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office with SAP knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Registration with Professional Architect or SA Interior Design advantageous.
• Matric and a valid drivers license.
• At least 3 years of experience in architecture, interior design, space planning in office buildings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Solid knowledge of financial management.
• Knowledge of space planning principles and building design.
• Familiarity with OHS Act, SANS 10400 & ISO 9001.
• Experience with repairs, renovations, alterations and new office buildings.
• Office administration and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide space planning design drawings within specified budget margins.
• Ensure compliance to standards related to space planning designs.
• Maintain and update stack model and layout plans for all floor levels.
• Engage with client staff on space needs.
• Maintain space standards and environment to meet divisional needs.
• Conduct benchmarking for best-practice space planning processes.
• Monitor supplier performance on projects and enforce remedial actions.
• Ensure reports are up-to-date and meet contractual obligations per SLA.
• Submit Asset Register with values, locations and status.
• Ensure finalized designs meet customer requirements per SLS and Project Scope.
