Job summary

SET Consulting is looking for a Senior Level 2 NOC Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimise our network infrastructure in Centurion, Gauteng. This role requires expertise in transmission/network engineering and at least 5 years of experience.

The ideal candidate will work on network design and availability, capacity planning, and vendor management. Key responsibilities include advanced technical support and leading root cause analyses on network incidents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in transmission/network engineering.
• Strong experience in Microwave, Fibre, IP/MPLS, DWD networks.
• RF skill and experience.
• Strong IP/Networking skill and experience.
• Assurance/NOC engineer experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve fibre, microwave, IP/MPLS and DWDM transmission networks.
• Ensure high availability and performance of transmission and backbone networks.
• Lead root cause analysis on major and recurring network incidents.
• Perform capacity forecasting and upgrade planning.
• Support new builds and technology refresh projects.
