Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in NLP to join a fully remote team. You will develop NLP models to extract insights, automate processes, and enhance user experiences through language understanding.

The ideal candidate has a Master's or PhD in a related field, 5+ years in data science with NLP, and strong Python experience with TF/PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers. You will work independently in a distributed environment and collaborate to deploy production-ready

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and experience with NLP libraries (NLTK, SpaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for NLP applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy state-of-the-art NLP models for tasks such as sentiment analysis, text classification, entity recognition, and machine translation.
• Process and analyze large volumes of unstructured text data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines for text data preprocessing and feature engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate NLP models into production applications and services.
• Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to optimize NLP model effectiveness.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's knowledge base on NLP techniques.
