There is a hybrid work model with on-site Randburg office and remote options. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network security, hands-on experience with Cisco/Fortinet/Palo Alto, SIEM, and cloud security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Proven expertise configuring and managing network security devices (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM systems.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure).
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or GIAC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAFs).
• Monitor traffic for threats and respond to incidents promptly.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations and hardening.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

This role is critical in safeguarding the organization's digital assets and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of its network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions, responding to security incidents, and staying ahead of emerging threats. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in network protocols, security technologies, and threat mitigation strategies, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities
