Job summary

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is seeking a Senior Network Security Architect to lead end-to-end deployment of network security solutions, provide expert recommendations, and drive security governance.

You will design, configure, test and deploy security solutions, review standards, manage product lifecycles, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security and performance across the SARB network.

Qualifications

Honours degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (NQF 8) or equivalent.
Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE Security, CISSP, ITIL v3/4 and COBIT 2019.
8–10 years of experience designing and implementing network security solutions in enterprise environments.
Strong track record in leading end-to-end network security projects.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end implementation of network security solutions (design, configuration, testing, deployment).
Review and influence technical standards, procedures, and user guides for network security.
Provide expert input on security solution optimization and lifecycle management of products.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure deployment success and security governance.
Identify and remediate vulnerabilities identified by audits and governance assessments.
Provide third-level escalation support and conduct root-cause analysis for security issues.
