Placements24 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer specializing in network security to join our IT infrastructure team in Upington. You will design, implement, and manage secure network systems that support the organization's critical operations and ensure integrity and availability of its digital assets.

The role requires deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT.
• 5+ years in network engineering with focus on security.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper gear.
• Strong TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, and security tech (firewalls, VPNs).
• CCNA/CCNP or CISSP preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
