Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to oversee day-to-day network operations across multiple sites in South Africa. The role focuses on ensuring stable, secure, and efficient network services, meeting SLAs, and documenting architecture and processes.

You will manage routers, switches, wireless, WAN/LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and related infrastructure, while coordinating with NOC, vendors, and users to resolve incidents and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Matric and National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• CompTIA Network+
• Fortinet / Palo Alto / firewall-related certifications
• ITIL Foundation

Responsibilities

• Operate network infrastructure across all sites ensuring availability and performance.
• Maintain and update network documentation and diagrams.
• Monitor SLAs and coordinate with NOC and vendors for incident resolution.
• Lead small network-related projects and optimisation initiatives.
• Provide clear communication with users and support teams.
