Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng is seeking a Senior Network Solutions Architect to design, implement and manage complex enterprise-grade networks for a leading telecom provider. The role focuses on scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructures across routing, switching, firewall, and wireless domains.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in network engineering/architecture, CCIE/JNCIE or equivalent, and hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper gear, cloud networking, and SDN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (CS/EE/Telecommunications).
• 8+ years in network engineering/architecture, with large-scale experience.
• Proven Cisco/Juniper design and implementation expertise.
• Strong TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPNs and network security knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain high-level network architecture designs aligned with business goals.
• Lead design and deployment of networking solutions (routing, switching, security, wireless).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategy and roadmaps.
• Evaluate new network technologies and vendors to improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and develop long-term solutions.
• Document designs, configurations and operational procedures.
• Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for the network.
