Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a small team of engineers in Centurion. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable applications while upholding engineering best practices and high standards of quality.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and DevOps to align solutions with business needs, coach engineers, and champion modern architectures like microservices, DDD, and hexagonal patterns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or Team Lead.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Extensive experience with .NET Core and microservices-based architectures.
• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Hexagonal Architecture.
• Strong MySQL expertise in design, optimization, and administration.
• Experience building secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub/GitLab, and modern workflows.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong Agile and Scrum methodologies with leadership.
• Excellent problem-solving and delivery-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2–5 software engineers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring quality, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across .NET Core development, microservices, DDD, and Hexagonal Architecture.
• Drive engineering standards, code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and feedback, and support career growth plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools, and delivery methodologies.
• Balance hands-on software development with leadership responsibilities to achieve exceptional outcomes.
