Job summary

Idbasesoftware in Cape Town is seeking a Senior .NET MAUI Developer to build a new Android terminal application for PAX devices. You will work with a small senior team to consolidate payments, fleet management, mobile money, and shift management into a single app.

This role requires proven MAUI or Xamarin.Forms delivery, Android native interop, and experience with device SDKs. You will work in an AI-assisted development model and travel to Cape Town for on-site testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms delivery.
• Android platform experience with native interop and hardware SDKs.
• Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot or similar).
• Ability to work independently against loosely defined requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the terminal application in .NET MAUI, targeting Android on PAX hardware.
• Integrate with payment, fleet and mobile money backends, and with PAX device SDKs.
• Own features end-to-end, from spec conversation through to on-device testing.
• Test on physical PAX terminals at the Cape Town offices.
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction.
