Job summary

iDbase Software in Cape Town seeks a Senior .NET MAUI Developer to build an Android terminal application for PAX devices. You’ll join a small senior team delivering an AI-assisted development flow, shaping architecture, and shipping features end-to-end.

Responsibilities include designing the MAUI app, integrating with payment/backends, and testing on real hardware at Cape Town offices.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial .NET/C# experience.
• Proven MAUI or Xamarin.Forms delivery with shipped apps.
• Android platform experience, including hardware SDKs.
• Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot or similar).
• Ability to work independently against loosely defined requirements and move fast without breaking things.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the terminal application in .NET MAUI, targeting Android on PAX hardware.
• Integrate with payment, fleet and mobile money backends, and with PAX device SDKs (card readers, printers, peripherals).
• Own features end-to-end, from spec conversation through to on-device testing.
• Test on physical PAX terminals at the Cape Town offices.
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction — this is not a ticket-taking role.
