Job summary

Bluegrass Technologies Pty Ltd in Cape Town is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to design, develop, and deliver modern software solutions across fintech, e‑commerce, healthcare, logistics, and digital transformation initiatives.

You will mentor peers and steer technical direction while collaborating with Product, Design, QA, DevOps and Engineering leadership to build scalable solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft .Net, .Net Core, and C#.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, Web API, Razor and JSON.
• Frontend skills with HTML5/CSS3/SCSS; experience with React/TypeScript.
• Cloud and data exposure: Azure, Cosmos NoSQL; App Services and Azure DevOps.
• CMS experience with Umbraco or Optimizely is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL, DB design, and SOLID principles.
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments and Jira usage.

Responsibilities

• Interact with business users, analysts and developers to understand new requirements.
• Write technical specifications and implement features to company standards and deadlines.
• Participate in design and planning sessions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Architect, develop, test and support web and mobile applications.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and evaluate new technologies.
• Enforce development best practices and coding standards across projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and support teammates in delivery quality.
