Job summary

AES Global is seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to design, build and maintain scalable, high-performance systems for its travel platforms. You’ll be a hands-on developer with integration experience and a focus on clean, production-ready code.

Join a team delivering RESTful APIs, microservices and integrations with GDS, payment gateways and suppliers, while collaborating with product teams and adhering to CI/CD practices in a hybrid Cape Town/Johannesburg setup.

Qualifications

8–10 years in software development (backend focus).
Proficient in C# / .NET, REST APIs, MS SQL Server, and LINQ.
Experience with JSON/XML, SOAP/REST integration, and microservices.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain back-end services and APIs.
Build and support high-volume, scalable systems in travel platforms.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party providers.
Collaborate with frontend teams, product, and stakeholders on end-to-end solutions.
Ensure performance, security and reliability; troubleshoot and optimize systems.
Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD and documentation/code reviews.
