Qualifications
- Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- 4+ years hands-on experience in a molecular biology lab.
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques and instrumentation.
- Experience with gene expression analysis and nucleic acid manipulation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for teamwork in Bloemfontein.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, cloning and sequencing prep.
- Develop and optimize new molecular assays and protocols.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and cell lines for experiments.
- Conduct experiments independently and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain accurate records in an electronic lab notebook.
- Assist in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results.
